The most beautiful thing about being nominated for my first GG is that I get to share it with the great love of my life. The other most beautiful thing is that I get to share it with all the remarkable artists who have been part of helping us shape this story over the years, from our actors and designers, dramaturgs and crew, producers, editors and publisheers, to Ying Ruocheng and Arthur Miller themselves, two giants of the 20th century theatre whose real-life collaboration inspired us at every step. Not forgetting the indomitable artists of the Beijing People’s Art Theatre, who had to walk through physical danger and hardship, fear and doubt in order to continue to practise their art.

The OTHER other most beautiful thing about being in the room with writers of this calibre—Hannah, Jordan, and Susanna—is that, whichever one we lose to, we will be able to say, “Yeah, that’s fair” and be genuinely happy for them.
