Hello and welcome to my site. As well as finding out about specific works, you can contact me, find my bio and some articles I've written, buy some books, and see my recent news. There are links to my published works on each separate page: you can also get them at your local bookstore or library, or through some great online retailers like All Lit Up or Bizbooks or 49th Shelf.

I’m very happy to be at home in Vancouver writing and translating for the next little while. Next up: Angela Konrad’s Auditions, or, Me, Myself, and I for La Fabrik, and Olivier Sylvestre’s Le Désert and Philippe Soldevila’s Conte de la neige for BoucheWHACKED! As an Associate of Playwrights Theatre Centre, I’m continuing to work with my co-writer Jovanni Sy on Salesman in China, a backstage play about Arthur Miller’s 1983 trip to China to direct Death of a Salesman. I’m also finishing up Annie Brocoli’s Stardust for Lune Rouge, and Sébastien Harrisson’s From Alaska for Ruby Slippers Theatre (where I am an Associate Artist).

Where I'll be:

Oct. 30-Nov. 6, 2019: Hedgebrook, a spectacular writing residency for women. Working on the next play. (Whidbey Island, WA)

Oct. 15-Dec. 17, 2019: On Tuesday nights, I’m teaching Block A, the emerging playwrights’ unit at Playwrights Theatre Centre. (Vancouver, BC)

Where you can see my work:

Oct. 15, 2019: At Playwrights Workshop Montréal, Talisman Theatre presents a public reading of Rébecca Déraspe’s outrageously funny, feminist A.F. two-hander, Gametes. (Montréal, PQ)

Oct. 16-27, 2019: Persephone Theatre presents Catherine Léger’s provocative and hilarious I Lost My Husband! (Saskatoon, SK)

Oct. 26-Dec. 8, 2019: Red Theater Chicago presents Rébecca Déraspe’s sparkling Millennial anti-romcom You Are Happy in ASL and English, in its American premiere. (Chicago, USA)

Nov 2019: WORLD PREMIERE: Lune Rouge presents Annie Brocoli’s Stardust in the PY1 entertainment complex. (Miami, USA)

April 16-25, 2020: WORLD PREMIERE: Ruby Slippers Theatre and the Gateway Theatre present Sébastien Harrisson’s poignant and poetic coming-of-age story From Alaska (Vancouver, BC)

After more than 600 performances, acclaimed Théâtre Motus continues to tour its Dora Award-winning production of Hélène Ducharme's Baobab internationally. Tour schedule is here.

Acclaimed Vancouver company Boca del Lupo continues to tour their unique site-specific installation piece Red Phoneto which I contributed a script. Watch for it in a city near you.

My plays and translations are published by Talonbooks Ltd. and Playwrights Canada Press. Unpublished works, including libretti, are available through the Playwrights Guild of Canada or CEAD... or by contacting me directly.
